It draws the world in software (). In software, DeepEarth runs very slowly.

Leave it running. Follow a coastline, a storm, a patch of snow that outlasts summer.
Start at 1 hour per second. The calendar begins at the March equinox; days, months and seasons follow the resolved weather clock. Weather speeds up to 4 days per second, then stays resolved while geology accelerates. The night view fades at the fastest geological rates. Ice and rivers exchange finite water; melting and evaporation spend heat.
Mapped plates follow published present-day Euler rotations. Future motion is an extrapolation; new plate boundaries and mantle pulses are simplified. Seven pressure levels and four ocean depths couple circulation, moisture, ice and heat. Choose a pressure or depth in Views, or inspect a place’s atmospheric column. Tilt sets the seasonal terminator, daylight hours and heating. Water is tracked across ocean, land, aquifers, ice and atmosphere. Soil texture and roots govern retention and plant water use. Finite aquifers recharge, exchange groundwater and feed rivers. Drought, biome-specific fire and regrowth alter living cover and soil carbon. Land stores heat at three soil depths and in bulk ice cold content; marine ice still uses an insulating phase approximation. Boiling responds to estimated pressure. Geological pace drives bounded landscape transport; weather, aquifers and vegetation follow resolved weather time. This remains an exploratory model, not a regional forecast.

DeepEarth needs WebGL 2 on the graphics card. If the browser draws in software, DeepEarth stops and lists the steps to turn on hardware acceleration. On a Windows computer with two graphics processors, set this browser to High performance in Windows Settings → System → Display → Graphics. That can help. If DeepEarth cannot start, shows an error or runs very slowly, press Send report. The report holds browser and system versions, GPU name and limits, timings and error messages. It holds no IP address, places or world data.
